Male a capella group to sing at Homecoming

The original 10 members of a capella group Straight No Chaser will perform during the 2008 IU Homecoming concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the IU Auditorium.

The original group, which started at IU 12 years ago, is coming out with a CD, “Straight No Chaser Holiday Spirits,” on Oct. 28. The CD release will mark its debut with Atlantic Records.

“We are very pleased to be able to present the original members of Straight No Chaser in what is a great homecoming story,” said IU Auditorium Director Doug Booher in a press release. “This talented and energetic group of guys began their careers together here at IU, performing for huge crowds of appreciative students, alumni and community members.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, and are available online at www.iuauditorium.com, by calling 855-1103 or at the IU Auditorium box office.
Tickets cost $16.50, but can be purchased for $22.50 for the show and an advance copy of “Holiday Spirits.”
