Comedy’s best men do it again

This scene makes good on “Unrated” for sure.

With today’s lower standards, comedy has become more obnoxious.

People want to see things that aren’t normal and laugh at them. They want to see social norms broken, adults acting like children, dirty utterances and more. To meet these needs, Will Ferrell has teamed up with “Anchorman” and “Talladega Nights” director Adam McKay once again to write “Step Brothers.”

“Step Brothers” tells the story of 39-year-old Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell), who lives with his mother, and 40-year-old Dale Doback (John C. Reilly), who lives with his father.

Brennan’s mother Nancy (Mary Steenburgen) marries Dale’s father Robert (Richard Jenkins) and moves in with him, taking Brennan with her. Brennan and Dale have a lot to deal with: They are officially stepbrothers, they earn no money on their own, and they now have to share a house.

Ferrell and Reilly are at the top of their games in “Step Brothers.” Their obscene remarks, violent acts and immaturity will make you continuously laugh till the point where you tumble to the ground and can’t get back up.

The plot is simple and should not confuse a soul. It’s the story of two stepbrothers living together, a common issue among divorced parents who get remarried. The only difference is the two stepbrothers are middle-aged men, not actual children, even though they act less mature than any kindergartner.

The DVD allows you to see the making of a hilarious movie, entertaining outtakes, a “Boats and Hoes” music video that has Ferrell and Reilly rapping, commentary from the stars, etc. There’s a nice, cozy place in everyone’s home for this DVD.

If you want to see a movie that has a simple plot and can make you laugh for almost two hours straight, “Step Brothers” is the movie to watch, and owning the DVD will give you something to keep you laughing.
