Bloomington South rolls to regional championship

Bloomington High School South is a step closer to a state championship.

The Class 4A No. 1 Panthers (24-0) won a regional championship on Saturday night in Seymour, Ind. after rolling over Terre Haute South (21-5) 66-39.

IU recruit Jordan Hulls led the team with 17 points. Hulls will join the Hoosiers as a freshman guard next season.

Next up for South is a rematch with Franklin Central on March 21 in the semi-state round of the state tournament. South defeated Franklin Central 77-45 on Jan. 24 in Indianapolis.

The winner of the semi-state round advances to the Class 4A state championship on March 28 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
