Thunder recall D.J. White from NBA D-League

Geoffrey Miller

OKLAHOMA CITY  — The Oklahoma City Thunder is recalling forward D.J. White from the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Development League.

Oklahoma City General Manager Sam Presti announced the move Monday. The 6-foot-9 White had played three games for Tulsa, averaging 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 37.7 minutes per game.

The 22-year-old rookie has yet to appear in a game for the Thunder this season after undergoing jaw surgery in October. He was cleared by team doctors last Monday to resume full-contact drills.

The former Indiana star was the 29th overall pick by the Detroit Pistons in last year's NBA Draft. He was acquired by the Thunder as part of a draft-day trade.

The Thunder's ownership group also controls the 66ers and made the Tulsa team its D-League affiliate.
