The Bloomington Police Department has no leads on who might have assaulted a 22-year-old IU student Friday.
Police are still investigating the incident, which left the victim with injuries to both sides of his face, said BPD Sgt. Jeff Canada, reading from a police report.
The victim was walking home at about 4:24 a.m. Friday from downtown bars when he stopped at a friend’s house near 10th Street and Indiana Avenue, Canada said. The friend was not home, so the victim walked back to his house.
When he reached the corner of Park Avenue and 10th Street, the victim was struck in the back by an unknown person, Canada said.
The victim did not remember being hit and was not able to describe the suspect. He remembered waking up a few minutes later and walking back to his house, where he realized his wallet and cell phone were missing, Canada said.
