Woman steals supplies in sling

Police arrested an Ellettsville woman Tuesday for stealing supplies from Bloomington Hospital in a sling on her arm after a workplace accident.

Abigail F. Roll, 27, faces theft charges for stealing syringes, alcohol preparation pads and other supplies, Drake said.

Officer James Mitchell was called to the hospital at 9:04 a.m. after a report came in about a woman stealing supplies. A worker at the hospital saw Roll hiding items in the sling on her arm, Drake said. Hospital security confronted her, looked in the sling and found the items.

In a written statement, Roll admitted to stealing the items but gave no reason for the theft, Drake said.
