2010 basketball recruit Victor Oladipo to make first IU visit

Two IU sports programs are hoping to start the school year right on Sept. 3 – football and men’s basketball.

Victor Oladipo, No. 133 among the class of 2010 recruits, is coming to Bloomington the day of IU’s first football game.

“I’ve never been to Indiana,” Oladipo, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard and three-star recruit, said. “I want to see the campus and the people that go there. I want to see what it’s like to be a Hoosier.”

Oladipo plays for De Matha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md., and has played for the varsity team since his sophomore year of high school. He was named a third-team All-League player for the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

He said his goals for his final high-school season were to guide his teammates to an undefeated record and win the league championship.
