Post-Modern Jazz Quartet + 1

More Info To celebrate 70 years of the label Blue Note Records, with artists such as Benny Golson, Herbie Hancock and Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, the next installment in the Jazz Fables concert series will feature David Miller, Ron Kadish, Jeff Isaac, Jonathan Elmer, Nate Johnson and Danny Deckard. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.

“The Dos and Don’ts
of Time Travel”

More Info This play about a woman who wills herself to time travel to get to a happier point in her relationship is in the final weekend of its nearly monthlong run. Tickets are available at the “CheapSeats” price of $15 at the theater box office.

More Info After a successful expansion of this exhibition after its opening last week, the gallery extended the showing until Friday. The final night of the exhibit will feature refreshments and live music.

Greenstock Festival

More Info Now in its second year, the Greenstock Festival is a two-day celebration of music and sustainability. This year’s 10-act lineup includes Jennie Devoe, Shaggy Wonda, Samesoul and Pat Webb. In addition to the music, there will be an open mic event, solar-powered cookie baking and several “green” demonstrations. Tickets are $30-$40 for an all-weekend pass with camping, $15 for Friday only and $20 for Saturday only. Students with ID will receive $5 off their admission price. Block Printing Demonstration

More Info James Samson, who has taught art at universities across the Midwest, will demonstrate his linoleum block carving and printing technique. Refreshments will be provided.

“Shalom on the Range”

More Info After a challenge to supply the Shalom Center with its weekly coffee needs entirely through donations, several local musicians scored and adapted this concert dedicated to coffee and helping the center, which is a day space for homeless members of the Bloomington community. Donating one 3-pound can of coffee will earn one general admission ticket. Without coffee, tickets are $14.50 for general admission and $12 with a student ID. All proceeds go to the center.
