ISO to perform Queen music medley

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will rock you.

In the spirit of Freddie Mercury and his band, the ISO will perform “The Music of Queen” on Friday and Saturday.

Both shows will take place at 8 p.m. in the Conner Prairie Amphitheater, 13400 N. Allisonville Road in Fishers, Ind.

The score was written and arranged by concert conductor Brent Havens, whose previous work includes compositions for ESPN, CBS and ABC and other arrangements of works by the Doors, The Eagles, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

In addition, Brody Dolyniuk, a vocalist with previous experience channeling rock front men in Las Vegas shows with his show “Yellow Brick Road,” will assume the role of enigmatic lead signer Mercury. A rock tribute band will also assist.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate for adults and $10 in advance and $12 at the gate for children and can be purchased at Marsh supermarket locations, on the phone at 800-366-8457 or online at www.indianapolissymphony.org.
