Songwriters to be judged by music celebs in international contestmusic

The annual International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is set to feature its most star-studded line-up to date, according to a press release for the event.

65 winners are to be chosen by a large pool of famous musicians such as Tom Waits, Kings of Leon, Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20 and newcomer Adele for the chance to receive a $25,000 cash Grand Prize out of $150,000 dispensed annually to the other winners.

Amateur and professional songwriters and musicians can submit original work in over 20 categories, including comedy/novelty, pop/top 40, folk singer-songwriter and even music video.

Entries are accepted online or by mail with a deadline of October 7.
