David Copperfield to bring magic to IU Auditorium

ENTER TRIGGERSTREET 11 KRT

While he isn’t the fictional Charles Dickens character brought to life, audiences should still prepare to be mystified, as famed magician David Copperfield is added to the growing line-up of star-studded performers this year at the IU Auditorium.

On Oct. 11 at 8:30 p.m. , Copperfield will give audiences an “Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion,” as the title of his show suggests.

A biography on MSN.com refers to the magician as the “greatest illusionist of our time” as hailed by “critics and audiences alike.”

Along with being the thirteenth highest-paid entertainer in the world, the New Jersey native has received much success in his career, winning dozens of Emmys for his CBS series, “The Magic of David Copperfield,” selling out shows around the world and being named a Living Legend by the United States Library of Congress in 2000.

The appearance at IU comes after a sold-out stint at the MGM Hollywood Theatre in Las Vegas.

Tickets range from $29 -$45 depending on available seating, and can be purchased via Ticketmaster or the IU Auditorium Box Office. For more information, call the Box Office at 812-855-1103 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
