Festival welcomes bluegrass lovers

The 35th annual Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Uncle Pen Days Festival is now through Saturday.

The festival at Bill Monroe Memorial Bluegrass Music Park and Campground in Brown County, Ind. will continue rain or shine, according to a press release.

The festival includes more than more than 25 bluegrass bands, jam sessions and camping as well as food vendors and a flea market.

On Saturday, Doc Watson, winner of six Grammy awards, will be inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame.

Tickets are general admission for performances and include admission to the Bluegrass Hall of Fame, Country Star Museum and Uncle Pen’s cabin tour. Admission also includes all music, vocal and instrument workshops.

The event is sponsored by Rebel Records, Bluegrass Radio Network and Hope River Entertainment.
