The IU women's soccer team kept its winning streak alive Friday as they beat their toughest opponenet yet, the No. 6 Florida Gators, by a score of 2-1 in double overtime.
IU is now 4-0 on the season and has allowed only one goal total during all four contests.
Junior forward Leigh Anne Cummings netted the game-winning goal in the 114th minute from 15 yards out. Cummings was assisted by sophomore midfielder Devon Beach.
The defense was stout, with Florida's only score coming from an own goal. The defending squad allowed no shots on-goal during the game.
The game, overall, was a defensive matchup, especially once overtime hit. The only shot in both overtimes was the final goal by IU.
