Students nominate WIUX for top college radio station

IU's student radio station, WIUX LP 99.1 FM, is among the top 100 college radio stations, according to voters for mtvU's College Radio Woodie Award.

WIUX is one of the top 100 stations in the country and on Tuesday, the top 100 will narrowed down to become the top 50. The winner of the award will be announced on November 18 on MTV.

College students across the country can vote for which college radio station they think is the best and should receive the award. This year, mtvU is pairing with users of  the Web site RateMyProfessors.com  to find out which station should win the award.

Students can go to http://radiowoodie.ratemyprofessors.com/ to vote for their favorite station.
