Ten great songs that’ll make you party

Here are the songs that make you turn up the stereo, get up off the couch to dance and put your hands in the air and sing along.

Here I have ten great beats, old and new, that need to be on everyone’s playlist to make the night memorable (with or without alcohol).

1. “Shots” by LMFAO ft. Lil’ Jon
I heard this song for the first time this weekend, but I have to admit, I haven’t been able to stop singing it since. Trust me, once the track is on, the song will echo in your ears the rest of the night.

2. “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey
I haven’t been to a party or any major event on campus where I haven’t heard this song or a version of it. Everyone’s singing. Everyone’s dancing. It’s a classic. Period.

3. “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks
This song is an oldie as well, but it is still a hit among the country music lovers on campus. Even if you’re not a country music fan, I can guarantee some major foot tapping.

4. “I Love College” by Asher Roth
It’s the notorious college anthem. Enough said.

5. “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga
Gaga’s pop song is a great track for any dance party. Turn on the disco ball and “just dance.”

6. “Run This Town” by Jay-Z ft. Rihanna and Kanye West
The beat is memorizing, and it definitely will have everybody on their feet ready for more.

7. “Here For the Party” by Gretchen Wilson
This is another country song everyone seems to love. I haven’t been to a party yet that when this song turns on, everyone doesn’t belt out the lyrics in unison.

8. “You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC
What party doesn’t have AC/DC in the mix? Any AC/DC song will do, really; this one is just my personal favorite.

9. “Let it Rock” by Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne
The song has a perfect blend of rock and rap for a diverse group of music lovers. Besides, you really can’t go wrong when it comes to Lil Wayne. All his songs can get anyone hyped up.

10. “Right Round” by Flo Rida
I don’t know what it is about this song. At one time, I thought it was going to lose its popularity, but it became more popular than ever. But it’s definitely a track that won’t stop anytime soon.

So there they are, ten songs that will knock your socks off.

Make sure to enjoy the music. Enjoy the experience.

And most of all, enjoy IU.
