Cagle homecoming concert canceled

IU’s 2009 official homecoming show scheduled for Tuesday at the tailgating fields in Hoosier Village has been canceled. Local bands The Clayton Anderson Band and New Old Cavalry were to open the concert for country artist Chris Cagle.

The concert was canceled

because of low ticket sales, said Jason Apple CEO ASB Enterprises, whose company who was sponsoring the show. He also added the cancellation was caused by additional circumstances outside of his control.

Apple declined to comment about the number of tickets sold.

No other entertainment will replace the concert. Apple said his company is considering having a different concert in the spring.

“We’re going to give everyone a refund,” said Apple. “We want to get this over with as quickly as possible.”

For refunds, ticket holders can send a self-addressed envelope to ASB Enterprises, which will be mailing refund checks. Refunds will begin Monday, and all refund requests must be postmarked by Oct. 23.
