Local collective to head Halloween art workshops

The Collaboration Room, an artist collective of college graduates residing in Bloomington, has put together Friday Night Frights to serve the Bloomington community in readying their Halloween fashions.

It has been an ongoing event this month from 5 to 8 p.m. on Fridays at the Collaboration Room, located at 214 N. Rogers St. The collective provides sewing machines and material on-hand but advise that people come with some of their own materials to create the ideal Halloween costume.

On Saturday, there will also be special festivities to celebrate Halloween, including a “Spooky Finger Puppet Theater” show and a workshop on circuit-bending, battery-powered Halloween knickknacks.  A press release for the event lists the time of these festivities from 12 to 4 p.m.

All ages are welcome to attend the events.
