IU won easily against winless Bryant, 90-42, on Monday night but suffered a major loss in the process.

Leading by more than 30 early in the second half, IU freshman guard Maurice Creek, the Big Ten's leading freshmen scorer and IU's leading scorer, landed awkwardly on his leg underneath IU's basket and left the game on a cart as the Assembly Hall crowd fell silent.

IU coach Tom Crean said Creek will have surgery tomorrow and will not return this season.

Despite the injury, IU (6-6) dominated Bryant (0-12) the entire game, leading 45-17 at halftime. The team's sixth win matches its win total from last season.

Freshman forward Christian Watford led IU with 15 points, while sophomore guard Verdell Jones added 15.
