Hoosiers fall to Greyhounds 72-67

Early lead enough to hold off surging Hoosiers

IU-Loyola Men's Basketball

Despite a late comeback run, the Hoosiers fell to the Greyhounds 72-67 at Assembly Hall.

IU sophomore guard Verdell Jones III's layup gave his team a 67-65 lead with 2:55 to play, but Loyola added seven unanswered points to secure the victory. In that span, Greyhound guard Brett Harvey scored six points, including a pivotal three-pointer while being fouled.

Harvey paced Loyola with 25 points and five assists.

The Hoosiers were led by junior guard Jeremiah Rivers, who finished with 15 points, four assists and five rebounds.
