The
four-day Cleveland Orchestra residency, in question over the past several days
due to an ongoing musician strike has been postponed, according to a press
release from the Jacobs School of Music.
Although the musicians will not visit IU, the planned
IU Philharmonic reading with Cleveland's music director Franz Welser-Möst will
still take place 4 to 6 p.m. in the Musical Arts Center Tuesday, as well as an “artWORKS”
arts administration seminar for students in the Jacobs School of Music and Arts
Administration students in SPEA, led by Cleveland Orchestra general manager
Gary Ginstling.
