Dunn Meadow Cafe offers healthy options

The Dunn Meadow Cafe opens today in the Indiana Memorial Union.

The cafe’s location was formerly KIVA but has been renovated to be more open, friendly and comfortable. In the spring, work will begin on an outside patio to provide outdoor seating and dining.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, and a grand opening will be held Feb. 8.

The cafe offers healthy and natural food options through unique sandwiches and wraps, as well as soups, salads and fruit. The menu includes a pesto chicken sandwich, Mexican Veggie Wrap, Mediterranean Tuna Pita, and there will also be a salad bar, vegan entrees, daily specials and fruit.

The cafe is also committed to supporting sustainability by minimizing paper and plastic.

“There is a demand by students for good, healthy, fresh food,” said Steve Managan, Dining Services General Business Manager, in a press release.
