After stopping at the inaugural Pit Stop Music Marathon in Bloomington, some 31 bands, as well as hundreds of musicians from across the country aspent over a week in Austin, Texas for the South by Southwest Conference and Music Festival.

The event, which took place from March 12 through the 21 in the Austin Convention Center, featured hundreds of musicians, movie makers and
technology gurus.

The lineup featured bands such as Motorhead, Spoon, Cheap Trick and the Los Lonely Boys, as well as local Bloomington musicians.

Bands played in various venues around Austin, including the Austin Music Hall.
The first festival took place in Austin and played host to about 700 registrants. The festival has now expanded to include nearly 12,000.
