Chappell named Big Ten Offensive Player of Week

IU senior quarterback Ben Chappell collected his second career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Award on Monday after his weekend 366-yard, three-touchdown performance at Western Kentucky.

Along with a one-yard touchdown run, Chappell contributed to four of the five IU touchdowns in the Hoosiers 38-21 win against Western Kentucky.

The 366 passing yards was a career high for Chappell. It surpassed his old record of 333 yards against Illinois in 2009, the first game in which he won the weekly Big Ten award.
It was also his fourth 300-yard passing game, which tied a school record.
