The Hoosiers defeated Evansville 1-0 at home. The win inflated IU’s winning streak to three games.
At one end of the field was junior forward Will Bruin. His seventh goal of the season came in the 30th minute of the game and made up the Hoosier side of the scoreboard.
On the other end of the field was sophomore goalkeeper Luis Soffner. His second shutout of the year against Evansville, the No. 6 team in the nation, made up the scoreboard’s other side.
“It’s good to get that shutout,” Soffner said, “even in a game we might not have played our best.”
IU continues its three-game home stand when it faces Wisconsin on Sunday. IU is 1-0 in conference play after last week’s 3-2 win at Penn State.
