IU tight end named to midseason watch list for award

IU freshman tight end Ted Bolser was named to the John Mackey Award midseason watch list on Tuesday.

The award is given annually to the nation’s best tight end, and the winner will be announced Dec. 9.

Bolser is the only freshman on the 22-player watch list. Through six games, Bolser has 12 catches for 194 yards and four touchdowns. His four touchdowns tie a school record for most scores by a tight end.
