The IU women's basketball team claimed a huge home win Sunday in defeating No. 24 Nebraska 67-61 at Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers (5-3) rode a 40-32 rebounding advantage, including a 17-10 edge in offensive boards and senior guard Jori Davis' 21 points to hand the Cornhuskers (6-1) their first loss of the 2010-11 campaign.
IU also received double-digit scoring efforts from senior forward Hope Elam, who scored 14 points, senior guard Whitney Lindsay, who added 10, and junior forward Danilsa Andujar, who earned a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Hoosiers shot 51.7 percent from the field in the second half to power past Nebraska, who managed just 43.3 percent in the final period.
