Pulitzer author to give reading

Pulitzer prize-winning author Michael Chabon is giving a free public reading at 5:30 p.m. today at Fine Arts 015.

He is the author of a number of best sellers in fiction and nonfiction. Two of these works, “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh” and “Wonder Boys,” have been adapted for film. Critically-acclaimed “Wonder Boys” starred Michael Douglas and Tobey Maguire.

His novel, “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay,” is based on the lives of two World War II Jewish comic book artists and won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001.

Chabon has lectured on various literary topics and recently accepted the position of chairman of the board of directors at the MacDowell Colony.

His reading is sponsored by the College Arts and Humanities Institute.
