Rapper Wiz Khalifa will make a tour stop in Bloomington for Little 500 weekend.
Most recognized for his current single, “Black & Yellow,” the upcoming rapper is headlining the Campus Consciousness tour, an environmental campaign to get students more involved with their communities. Past headliners include rapper Drake and electro pop band Passion Pit. Khalifa is slated to perform April 15.
The Pittsburgh-based artist was selected as one of XXL magazine’s “Freshmen 10” with the release of his mixtape, “Kush and Orange Juice,” in early 2010. He has also toured with artists like Lauryn Hill and Snoop Dogg.
His new album, “Rolling Papers,” will be in stores March 29. The album will include “Black & Yellow,” which has accrued over 35 million views on YouTube.
