2012 recruit Hollowell chooses IU

The fifth piece is in place.

Lawrence Central junior Jeremy Hollowell, the No. 39 recruit in the 2012 class by Rivals.com (No. 23-ranked recruit by Scout.com), announced today he will attend IU.

Hollowell was choosing between IU, Cincinnati, Ohio State and Purdue. According to Rivals, he had scholarship offers from three of the schools with Purdue the lone exception.

Hollowell joins a loaded 2012 class with five-star recruits guard Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell and forward Hanner Perea, as well as four-star guard Ron Patterson and three-star center Peter Jurkin.

If all five players sign a letter of intent, it will put IU at its 13 scholarships limit for 2012.
