Doss holds own pro day

Football v. Arkansas State

Former IU wide receiver Tandon Doss returned to Bloomington on Wednesday for his pro day.

Doss, who had surgery on both groins after the college football season, did not participate in any drills at the NFL combine or IU’s regular pro day March 10.

The former Ben Davis High School standout caught passes from former IU quarterback Ben Chappell and ran routes with former Hoosier wide receivers Terrance Turner and Mitchell Evans.

Doss ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and recorded a broad jump of 9 feet 8 inches, a vertical jump of 32.5 inches, a shuttle time of 4.00 and a three-cone drill time of 6.87.

Based on those results, Doss wouldn’t have been amongst the top 14 performers in any event, except for the shuttle, at the 2011 NFL Combine.

According to Doss’ agent, approximately 28 teams were present to see Doss perform.
