The Singing Hoosiers will give the spring season some pop in the group’s performance Saturday at the IU Auditorium.
The collegiate show choir, also known as IU’s “ambassadors of song,” will perform at 8 p.m.
The concert will feature a medley of Broadway, jazz and other popular American songs.
The choir features 90 vocalists, and its performances are world-renowned.
In the past, the group has performed in 18 states and more than 26 countries, Australia, Europe and the Caribbean.
The spring show will precede the group’s concert tour in China.
The Singing Hoosiers have continued to be an IU tradition for more than half a century, beginning in the early 1950s as the Men’s Concert Choir.
As the group’s popularity grew, women vocalists were added to the ensemble. The Singing Hoosiers have made appearances with Bob Hope, Tony Bennettk and Hoagy Carmichael.
Tickets may be purchased at the IU Auditorium box office or online at www.IUauditorium.com.
Tickets are $15-20 for general admission and $10-15 for students.
