It’s all about the chili pepper in the ongoing photography show at El Norteño restaurant and gallery. The show, titled “Una Exposición Caliente,” features the work of 12 IU fine arts students who used the pepper as their central muse.
El Norteño sponsored the project, which was created by IU professor of photography, Jeff Wolin as a means to demonstrate the close interaction of Mexican people, cuisine and culture. The photos also feature the faces and stories of staffers from the restaurant.
The show is ongoing and includes work from Elaine Miller, Gaby Cheikh, Greg Shappell, Griffen Oellierich, Hallie Geyh, Kristen Endres, Leah Fithian, Maggie Arthur, Molly Quanty, Sean Cappel, Steven Yim and Valerie Leek.
The exposition will conclude July 6.
