Celebratory women’s festival takes to downtown

The third annual Luna Festival returns to Bloomington this weekend.

The festival, which is called a “celebration of women in business and the arts,” will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Fountain Square Mall. It features performances and expositions by dancers, musicians, writers and many other kinds of artists and businesswomen.

The musical performers range from hip-hop to jazz, with influences that come from all over the world. They will be taking turns for the course of the festival, which will also feature local vendors, raffles and a silent auction.

Children’s activities will also be available, making it an event for all ages.
Part of the proceeds at the festival will go toward Girls Inc. Volunteers are welcome.
