Comedy Attic festival returns

The third annual Bloomington Comedy Festival takes place every Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Comedy Attic. Thirty-seven of Bloomington’s funniest people will compete to be named the guru of local comedy during the championship round on August 3.

These are the winners from one of the preliminary rounds, June 8. Participants range from first-timers to the much more experienced. The field includes champions from the 2009 and 2010 contests.

Tickets are $5 for individual shows and $25 for a festival pass, which includes a free pair of tickets to a professional weekend show.
