The Web of Success: Websites to Know

KhanAcademy.org
KhanAcademy.org can teach you everything you need to know about math, science and finance, from the most basic stuff to knowledge that is impractical for everyday life. Their website has video tutorials and an online classroom.
The Khan Academy’s practice module turns it all into a game with a point and badge system that is reminiscent of “Call of Duty” or “Halo.”
But the most impressive part is that it’s all free, just waiting for someone to get bored of Facebook.

ResearchGate.com
Social networking is going far beyond keeping friends connected; it is also linking professionals.
ResearchGate.com is a free social network that connects scientists and researchers by allowing them to collaborate quickly and share unpublished research.
Although ResearchGate is aimed at scientists, its million-member network has a wide range of disciplines such as education, linguistics and economics.
The largest fields represented are biology and medicine.

Kickstarter.com
Even an ambitious idea can become a reality as long as enough people are
behind it.
Kickstarter.com is a website for artists, writers, musicians, designers or anyone with an idea to find funding for projects both small and large.
The site helps anyone promote an idea and seek donations to pay for its production. Millions are being pledged every year by tens of thousands of believers.
