Two more IU players sign MLB contracts

After two IU players were taken in MLB’s 2011 First-Year Player Draft, two more Hoosiers signed with professional teams.

Jerrud Sabourin signed a contract with the Cleveland Indians and Wes Wilson joined the New York Yankees. Wilson will play with the Staten Island Yankees, a  Class A short-season affiliate. Sabourin was assigned to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the Class A short-season affiliate of the Indians.

Both teams play in the New York-Penn League. Sabourin ended his collegiate career with the most number of hits in IU history.
