'It Still Bleeds': an original night of comedy and music

What “It Still Bleeds”, a comedy and music variety show with  material never before performed in Bloomington.

When 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Where Comedy Attic

What you’ll see A performance by eight comedians and two musical acts.
“It’s a variety show that’s a little more edgy and unexpected than your standard comedy show,” show curator Mat Alano-Martin said.
Includes a performance by “Heinous Orca”, a garage punk band made up of four IU students.

Why is it called ‘It Still Bleeds’?
The bi-monthly show, which is in its second season, was named by Alano-Martin.
“It’s a nod to ‘Let it Bleed’ by the Rolling Stones,” he said. “It’s about being fresh and raw comedy.”

Why go?
The show includes local and visiting comedians and musicians. Although “It Still Bleeds” occurs at the Comedy Attic every other Wednesday, this show will feature never-before-seen in Bloomington material.

“It’s important to support local comedy,” Alano-Martin said. “These people are barely making any money at it, so to have that support from your community goes a long way.”
