GLOWfest relocated due to weather

Ticket holders for tonight’s GLOWfest were making their way to shuttle buses, intending to begin the trek to Pic-a-chic Farms.

However, once the first batch of fans arrived at the designated stops, it was turned away.

“There was a guy at the bus stop letting people know that the show had been canceled,” sophomore Carlos Hernandez said.

IU’s third GLOWfest, headlining deadmau5, was scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., but weather issues proved unfavorable for the outdoor venue.

Citing “inclement weather” on its Twitter page, GLOWfest announced at 5 p.m. that the show was cancelled.

Posts on the GLOWfest Facebook page erupted, most of which were critical of the music festival.

deadmau5’s Twitter page urged fans to stay positive, though, and hinted that they were cooking up a Plan B, either in Indianapolis or at a Bloomington venue.

Around 7 p.m., deadmau5 officially announced via Twitter that GLOWfest was being relocated.

With a performance currently scheduled for 10 p.m., deadmau5 will take the stage at the Bluebird on South Walnut to a 21+ crowd, according to deadmau5’s Twitter feed.
