Kenney Walker's overtime goal in the 94th minute gave IU a 3-2 loss tonight at Jerry Yeagley Field.
IU had a 2-0 lead after senior midfielder Alec Purdie scored in the 55th minute.
However, Louisville responded with a pair of goals in the 73rd minute to knot the score at a 2-2 margin.
The Hoosiers wasted no time getting on the board.
Eleven minutes in, senior defender Tommy Meyer sent in a cross from the left side, connecting with freshman forward Eriq Zavaleta. Zavaleta controlled it and fired the ball past Louisville goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux.
The goal was Zavaleta’s fourth on the year, just one behind team Purdie.
The freshman was close on three other opportunities later in the half, including one off the post and one where he almost snuck by Boudreaux at the top of the box.
