IU basketball beats Stetson, 84-50, moves to 8-0

The matchup is now set.

After a sluggish first 20 minutes, IU (8-0) broke open a four-point halftime lead to beat Stetson (4-4), 84-50, on Sunday afternoon.

IU will now play just one game in the next 13 days, when the No. 1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats come to Assembly Hall for a 5:15 p.m. tip on Saturday.

The Hoosiers played in front of members from the 1987 National Championship on Sunday. Steve Alford and Keith Smart were among the players in attendance and honored at halftime.

The 1987 team watched as seven Hoosiers scored at least six points, led by Cody Zeller with 16. Four IU starters finished in double figures with junior forward Christian Watford just missing out scoring nine points.
