In its final home game of winter break, the IU men’s basketball has jumped out to a 39-32 halftime lead against the Michigan Wolverines.
The Hoosiers have never trailed thanks to a 16-of-29 performance from the field.
Taking advantage of a smaller and depleted Michigan front line, junior forward Christian Watford (14) and freshman forward Cody Zeller (9) have paced the Hoosiers in the scoring department.
Defensively, senior guard Verdell Jones III and sophomore guard Victor Oladipo have held Michigan guards Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway, Jr. to 3-of-15 shooting in the first half.
Indiana native Stu Douglass leads the Wolverines with eight points, including two 3-pointers late in the first half.
