It hasn’t been pretty for the IU men’s basketball team early.
The Hoosiers trail the Wolverines 33-22 at halftime at the Crisler Center.
IU has struggled to shoot the ball in the early going and is 41 percent (9-of-22) from the floor. Michigan on the other hand, shot 52 percent (13-of-25) including 43 percent from three-point range (6-of-14).
The Wolverines were led by freshman point guard Trey Burke, who had eight of his 10 points before the first media timeout.
IU has also been led by its point guard, junior Jordan Hulls, who leads the Hoosiers with eight points.
After posting a career-high 26 points in a 103-89 win against Iowa at Assembly Hall, Zeller had just four points in the first half.
In the final seconds of the half, senior guard Verdell Jones III went to the bench holding his shoulder. His status has yet to be determined.
Halftime: IU 22 Michigan 33
