Indiana Senate honors Hoosier cheer squad

In recognition of the IU Crimson Cheer squad's victory in the 2012 UCA National Championship, the Indiana Senate honored the team at 1:30 p.m. today.

Senator Vi Simpson (D-Elletsville) sponsored the congratulatory resolution of the team's accomplishment.

The squad of all girls won the championship Jan. 14 in Orlando, Fla., defeating Morehead State, San Diego State, Minnesota, Florida State, South Florida, Western Kentucky, Rutgers and Temple.
