Four Jacobs School of Music students will be participating in the Conservatory Project at 6 p.m. today at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The performance will be live-streamed by the Kennedy Center.
The Conservatory Project is a biannual initiative of Performing Arts for Everyone’s Millennium Stage designed to allow talented young musicians in classical music, jazz, musical theater and opera perform at world-class venues like the Kennedy Center.
Graduate students Laura Thoreson, a mezzo-soprano, Caroline Gilbert on the viola and pianists Matthew Cataldi and Kati Gleiser are representing IU in the project.
This will be the ninth consecutive year the Jacobs School has participated in the Conservatory Project.
