More info Curated by former IU anthropology student Erika Brown, the exhibit explores connections between Nepalese music and spirituality. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Wrapped in Power: An Introduction to Cotton and Indigo in West Africa

More info Indigo-dyed cotton wraps are a means of self-expression in West Africa and communicate social, political and religious messages. The installation is located in the Raymond and Laura Wielgus Gallery of the Arts of Africa, the South Pacific and the Americas on the third floor.

School of Fine Arts BFA/MFA Exhibit Reception

More info Students exhibiting at the Grunwald will give talks at noon. Students exhibiting in the IU Art Museum will give talks about their work at 6 p.m. The third round of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts Thesis shows are open until May 5.

More info The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 42nd season with a collaboration with IU’s Department of Theatre and Drama. Musical selections include Edward MacDowell’s “Hamlet & Ophelia,” incorporating scenes from Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” and Hector Berlioz’s “Symphonie Fantastique.”
