The IU women’s basketball team will play the Clemson Tigers Nov. 28 at Assembly Hall as part of the sixth annual Big Ten/ACC challenge. Both conferences announced this year’s pairing today.
“We are excited about the opportunity to host the ACC/Big Ten Challenge this year,” Head Coach Curt Miller said in a press release. “I personally have great respect for Coach Coleman and her Clemson program. It is also an opportunity for our conference to showcase the outstanding talent within the Big Ten.”
The matchup with Clemson for the challenge is IU’s second in three seasons and the first time IU will host an ACC Challenge opponent from since 2009.
In their last meeting Dec. 2, 2010, IU knocked off the Tigers on the road, 65-51. The overall series between the Tigers and Hoosiers is tied 1-1.
In last season’s challenge, IU lost to Virginia 65-49 on Dec. 1 in Charlottesville, Va.
