A six-year-old girl living in a bayou community has her life changed by a catastrophic storm. “Beasts” is directed by Benh Zeitlin and is part of IU Cinema’s International Arthouse Series.

Around the World with 2012 Children’s Film Fest Seattle

Children 12 and under free, $3 all others
“Around the World” will feature live-action and animated shorts from the Children’s Film Fest Seattle 2012 including “Little Red Planes,” “Love Bug” and “The Driving Accident.” The program is part of the CineKids series.

Surviving Life
7 p.m. Monday
Students free, $3 for the public
A man meets the ideal woman in his dreams and loses his grip on reality as he falls in love with her. The Czech-language film combines live-action and cut-paper animation and it is part of the Impossibility Made Real Series.
