The Bonnaroo 365 Tour is headed this way.
IU is one of many stops the tour will make in college towns around the country.
The tour features bands White Denim, Maps & Atlases and Tiny Victories. Comedian Sasheer Zamata is also listed on the tour. All will perform starting at 8 p.m. Monday at the Bluebird Nightclub.
Maps & Atlases, an indie rock group from Chicago, consists of bassist Shiraz Dada, drummer Chris Hainey, guitarist and vocalist Dave Davison and guitarist Erin Elders.
Spin praised Maps & Atlases’ latest record, “Beware and Be Grateful,” as “a seamless, sleepless avant-indie night of math terror.”
Tiny Victories, a group from Brooklyn, N.Y., boasts two members, Greg Walters and Cason Kelly.
NPR described Tiny Victories’ debut EP, “Those of us Still Alive,” as “full of smart, catchy electro-pop hooks with subversive production details to keep listeners guessing. There’s real depth to Greg Walter’s voice, as well as a natural, organic feel to the music.”
NPR’s “All Songs Considered” featured the band in February 2012 and its their single, “Mr. Bones.” It is the first song on the EP.
White Denim, a four-piece rock band from Austin, Texas, was formed in February 2006. Members include James Petralli, Josh Block, Steve Terebecki and Austin Jenkins.
White Denim’s latest album, “D,” has received attention from Rolling Stone, Spin, Entertainment Weekly and others.
The band draws musical influence from dub, psychedelic rock, blues and several other genres.
