SoFA open studio night to show student work

The Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts will open its studios to students and Bloomington residents Friday.

Activities will begin at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building.

Maps will be provided to help guests navigate to studios outside Fine Arts.

Each studio will have activities for attendees.

Guests can have Halloween photographs taken in the photography studios or print their own Halloween cards in the graphic design studios.

The digital art studio will include videos and interactive displays.

Sculpture studios will sell “wearable art” and T-shirts, according to the press release.

Metals students will create jewelry during the open studio time. Guests can watch Raku firing in the Central Stores.

Attendees can also participate in group painting, work on a loom or print their own T-shirts for a small fee.

All proceeds will go to School of Fine Arts student guilds.

A complete list of events is available on the School of Fine Arts website.
