Vintage shop on wheels to sell wares Friday at Bishop

A ’77 Winnebago Brave will arrive Friday in Bloomington.

With a shop’s worth of vintage and handmade clothing in tow, Snowbird Vintage will present its traveling popup shop from 7-11 p.m. at the Bishop Bar.

Shop owners Kristin Perry and Sue Oneto have taken their love for camper culture and vintage clothing on a month-long U.S. tour.

“Snowbird” describes someone from the North who travels to warmer, southern regions for the winter — typically taking a mobile business with them — according to the business website.

The duo left Philadelphia, where Snowbird is based, for its first-ever tour. Beginning in Austin, Texas, the tour will end in Chicago.

In addition to traveling or showing at home, Perry and Oneto sell items on Etsy.
However, the popup shop allows customers to connect with the items for sale and for Perry and Oneto to connect with their customers.

“One of the main goals of SBV is to be able to bring favorite vintage pieces directly to the shoppers that appreciate them,” Oneto said on the Facebook event page.
